Bumblebee bridge pickup

$125.00

Description:

The Bumblebee is my high output Telecaster pickup.

Like the earliest original Broadcaster bridge pickups, the Bumblebee is wound with 43awg wire. The Bumblebee has that Telecaster twang we all love.

Wound hot, this pickup will push your amp. This is a great pickup for a player that wants more volume and gain from their Telecaster guitar.

I scatter-wind the Bumblebee to retain the top end response. It’s a mid-forward pickup with a tight low end. I use Alnico 5 flat magnets to keep the pickup balanced and articulate.

Set-Up:

I like to set the Bumblebee pickup height to 5/64th on the bass side and 4/64th on the treble side. You can adjust the pickup height to taste from there. With all my Telecaster guitars I like to turn the guitar volume down to about 8, then turn my amp and gain up a touch to compensate. When I want full power I roll my guitar volume up to 10.

I recommend The Bumblebee bridge pickup with the Bumblebee neck pickup for a hotter classic Telecaster set.

I only use premium parts. Handmade in the USA. Sound samples at the bottom of the page.

Technical Specs:

  • 10k DC Resistance

  • 43awg

  • Alnico 5 Magnets

  • Wax Potted

  • Height adjustment screw and rubber tubing included
